Terms of Services

 

The price list on this website is only for personal and non-commercial artworks and it only depicts base prices. Therefore, the price may go up or down depending on the complexity of your inquiry. If you would like to use my art in a commercial way or would like to license a past commission, please contact me.

 

Pricing
This list gives base prices only. The prices may go up or down depending on the complexity of your character.
Extra characters add up half their original price.
These prices do not include backgrounds. Backgrounds do cost extra and they depend on the complexity of what you want.
If you want me to finish the commission in two weeks or less, I will ask for an additional fee, unless I am unable to work on it by then, I will turn down your commission.
All prices are in USD.

Rules

• I may turn down your commission if I feel uncomfortable with it.

• You are allowed to do whatever you want to do with your artwork, but you are not allowed to sell it or remove my signature (unless you want to crop it for an icon). You do not need to ask me if you want to post it in your galleries; you can as long as I am credited. It isn’t necessary but I would appreciate it if I posted the artwork in my galleries first.

• If you would like to license your commission, you have to tell me as it will influence the price greatly. At this point we’ll discuss about a price. I will still need to be credited; it can be a link to my page or just my name/usernames in the credits.

• I will never sell your commission, however I will display it in my galleries and maybe in my portfolio. If you have an issue with me displaying it or using it to get a job, let me know before I start.

• If it’s a gift for someone and you want me to wait for a certain day before I post the artwork online, you have to tell me. You can also ask me to deliver it, I will do that too.

• Since I will work on the commission until you are completely satisfied with it, I will ask that you do not take advantage of this and ask me to change your commission over and over and over again. Once I'm past the sketch phase, there's no going back (unless I painted something the wrong color, etc.) If I end up spending too much time on something because of changes, I will inform you of it and at this point you will choose whether you want to continue or not and if you want to continue, it will cost more.

• If you ask me to change something major that was not mentionned in the inquiry, especially if it's going to alter the whole picture, I will not do it.

• There will be only 5 slots at a time.

Commission process
When the commission has been confirmed, depending on the type of commission, I will always make a very rough sketch to determine the composition. I will not do that for sketches or experimental pictures. If you want me to change it, I will do so. But once I have your approval, I’ll work on the final version and there will be no possible way to change anything major about it, you may only change things such as colors, a missing marking or if you'd like me to add anything that will not alter the picture in any way.

Payments
I only accept PayPal payments. You are free to pay me whenever you want as long as I get the money before I send you the first finished artwork. There is a possibility to split the payment into two if the money amounts to a large sum (one part before I start working and one part when I’m ready to send it to you). You will give me your paypal address and I will send you an invoice.

If you prefer to send the payment yourself:

DO use the no address needed/no shipping needed
DO NOT use the gift option
DO NOT put a shipping address.

If you do not send the money in this way, I will refund your money and ask you to send it again.

How to commission me
Send me an e-mail at spacesmilodon@gmail.com. You can always note me on other websites but I strongly prefer e-mail since if deviantART or Furaffinity goes down for a bit, we can still use e-mail to contact. You need to fill out this form and add anything else you feel necessary. If you omit some informations that I have listed under this paragraph, I will consider that you give me free reins for this and will do what I please and you will not have any say in it. I never have not enough info, so put as much as you can. I'd like the topic to be "commission" or something similar at all time, please!

Character(s): (Please include references or a very good, detailed description of your character).
Pose(s): (Not necessary if you do not care about the pose. What you want your characters to do in the picture. Does not apply to sketch pages or experimental commissions).
Background: (Not necessary if not wanted.)
Theme: (Not necessary. Only applies to sketch pages and experimental unless you aren’t sure about what kind of pose you want for sketches and paintings.)
Time limit: (Not necessary, will be a fee if it’s 2 weeks from when the order was made or less. This is important if you need it by a due date. If there’s no rush, no need to give me a time limit. Also include the date you want me to post it if it’s a gift and I finish it before the right day. If I cannot make the deadline, I’ll offer you a free tier 2 sketch).
Private commission: (This is if you want me to keep the commission private).

For comics, I will need a script, storyline and a storyboard if possible.
